Student Volunteers - How to add Requirements to serve.

The requirements for MS - Student Leaders and Student Leaders has recently changed.  Since the goal is for MS - Student Leaders
are 6th through 8th grade and Student Leaders to be 9th through 12th grade,the requirement by age
wasn't always accurate. With Rock, we can actually insure that they are in the grade they should be to
serve in the correct area.

This article will show you how to add Student Volunteer requirements so the student will sync
into PCO and so you can add them to a serving group.

MS - Student Leaders and Student Leaders need the following requirements
1.  A grade
2.  Parent Consent Form
3.  Interview
4.  Reference Check 1
5.  Student Volunteer App

Where these Requirements are added can determine if they sync into PCO and/or can be added to a serving Group

Adding a grade to a student.

Search for and select the student

Click the Edit Pencil in the upper right side of the screen.

Add either the Grade or Graduation Year, the system will automatically fill in the rest.

It is also important to add the date of birthday.

Verify that they have a Connection Status of Attendee.

Be sure to click save at the bottom of the page.

Adding Requirements

1.  Click on Extended Attributes to add requirements.

2.  Parental Consent Form and Interview should be added in the Standard Requirement area.

3.  Reference Check 1 should be added in the Reference Check area.

4.  Student Leader App should be added in the Student Leader area.

 

Additional requirement for the sync to PCO to work correctly.

Make sure there is a campus associated with the family and the Connection Status is Attendee .  If there is already this information you will be able to see that directly under the person's name.

 

To add a Campus, click the Edit Pencil on the right side of the Family Name bar.

Add or edit the campus in the Campus Field.

Verify that they belong to the PCO Sync Group

Click on Groups

Scroll down to the Goup List

Check that they have the PCO Sync group listed

Adding a student to the PCO Sync Group when it's not present.

Search for someone who attends your campus (you can use your account)

Go to the Groups List and click on the PCO Sync Group

Click the Blue circle with the plus sign in it.

Search for and select the individual to be added to the group

This will sync the person to PCO during the next scheduled sync.  It should be there within about 2 hours.

If they are still not in PCO, submit a support ticket by emailing [email protected]
