Occasionally, there is an issue logging a user into rms.life.church (the Rock database) and on the weekend, we need to help them access their account to be able to complete data entry.
This article outlines several things you can verify on the user side to troubleshoot common mistakes.
Visit RMS: https://rms.life.church/
Rock is now part of the single sign on software.
Go to rms.life.church
You will see two options. Click the Staff button.
There are several options for Volunteer access to Rock:
Request volunteer access for the first time
A staff member must request access before a volunteer can use Rock.
Create a NEW login for a volunteer for the first time to login to Rock.
Volunteers must login to a specific volunteer site for Rock. This is different than the address for Staff members.
Visit RMS: https://rms.life.church/volunteer
Volunteers need to click the Volunteer button.
Volunteers login with their specific credentials they use to create their Life.Church account:
- Facebook login
- Google login
They also have the option to reset their password and manage their information themselves through their account. We don't need to support that unless there is a complication.
If the volunteer has never signed into Rock before. They will need to Create a user account.
Click the Create Account link
Every now and then an error message will appear on the Rock login page.
This could happen for a few reasons, and you may not be able to resolve them all, however, there is one thing to attempt to resolve this:
- On the computer or phone where the error appears, open a web browser.
- In the web browser, enter this exact URL: https://rms.life.church/?logout=true, then hit enter.
- This address will logout any previous Rock user account and allow a new login.
- Have them try to login again.
- If they are still unable, you can open a ticket with the IT Help Desk to find a solution.
