Get Connected Apple TV Playlister How-To

Uploading Media Content and Adding it to a playlist.

Step 1: Accessing Playlister

  1. Open your web browser and go to the Playlister website.
  2. Log in to your account using your credentials.
  3. Your account will have access to your specific campus folders and playlists containing media.

Step 2: Content Creation
For content creation refer to staff portal Get Connected Space.

Step 3: Uploading Media Content

  1. Once logged in, click on the media tab on the left navigation pane.
  2. Select the campus folder you wish to upload content to and select the folder for your specific ministry.
  3. Locate and click on the "Upload Media" button. It's usually in the top navigation menu.
  4. Choose the media content you want to upload from your device.
  5. Wait for the upload process to complete. You may need to add details such as title, description, or tags during this process.

Step 4: Adding Content to Playlist

  1. Click on the Playlists tab on the left navigation pane.

  2. Select the appropriate Playlist inside the folder structure → BAO(CAM) → LGLM → Playlist 1

  3. On the right hand side you can see media that was uploaded to the campus folder.

  4. You can then drag and drop the content to the Playlist.

Step 5: Verification

  1. To ensure the content is in the correct location, go to the apple TV and select the playlist that you uploaded content to the content should be downloaded and cached on the apple TV for playing.

  2. If the content is not there confirm the device is connected to wifi and doesn't show a error message in the bottom left.

  3. If the device is disconnected from wifi then any content that has been cached can still play but any new content uploaded to the playlist will not download from playlisters servers.

Step 6: Scheduling

  1. Navigate to the schedule tab on the left.

  2. Click on the Schedule a Playlist to autostart.

    1. There are options to do a One-Off Event and a Recurring Event

  3. In the Schedule an Event pop up there are two options for deciding where to play the playlist.

    1. Select a Screen

    2. Select a Tag

  4. After clicking next there will be the option to Select a Playlist to play.

  5. You will then be able to select Weekly or Just once and the specifics for day and time then click Save.
     

Tips

  1. If your Apple TV is showing Wifi disconnected reach out to [email protected]

  2. If your TV is vertical and playlister is not positioned correctly on the TV reach out to [email protected]
