Playlister (LifeKids)

Updated on

This is documentation for best practices in using Playlister in our LifeKids rooms!

General Knowledge

Each Apple TV should be locked down to only allow access to Playlister. Playlister should immediately open when the Apple TV is turned on and everything you will need for service time will be pre-downloaded into the app!

Each room will see only room-specific content based on playlist assignment. This means that no room should see an option to select any other room from the main menu.

Playlist assignment:

  • Beginnings: Starry Night, Let There Be Light, The Garden
  • Early Childhood: Under the Sea, In the Jungle, The Ark
  • Crosstown: Crosstown
  • Konnect: Konnect
  • Loop: Loop

After selecting the playlist provided, you will find all content for the week's service!

Key Tips and Information

The power button on the Apple TV will not be able to control the TV itself. The TV remote will need to be kept ensuring both devices are able to be turned on!

Volume buttons on the Apple TV remotes will work to adjust volume in all rooms except Konnect and Loop.

These rooms will adjust sound from the sound booths like normal!

If the Apple TV goes to the screen saver (cityscape), pressing the back arrow will get you back to the main Playlister screen!

To fast forward, you will have to pause the video you are watching and fast forward from the paused screen.

If you attempt to fast forward before pausing the video, Playlister will skip to the next video in the playlist.

Do not press the "back" button until you are ready to fully exit the video! This button will bring you back to the video selection screen inside the playlist.
