Process Connection Requests

This article will show you

  1. How to find Connection Requests that have been assigned to you.
  2. How to find Connection Requests that are not assigned to anyone.
  3. How to assign a Connection Request to yourself, another Staff member, Volunteer, or someone at a different campus.  
1. Find your assigned Connection Requests.

1.  Click the People icon.

2. Click Connections.

Find Connection items only assigned to you.

Click the button on the right side of the screen that says My Requests.

 

Note: Colored dots with numbers (in certain Connections Items).  

  • Blue Dot = Item is assigned to you
  • Yellow Dot = Unassigned
  • Orange Dot = Critical Status
  • Red Dot = Idle, no activity in 14 days

Select the Connection item that has individuals assigned to it.

Scroll to the bottom of the page to see a list of all individuals who have requested information on this item.

1.  Select your Campus from the dropdown menu.

2.  Click All Requests.

2. Process an unassigned Connection Request.

Click a Name in the list.

Click the Edit button in the lower left side of the page.

Click the dropdown arrow under Connector.

Select the person you want to assign to this Connection Item.

Add notes in the Comments field while in the process of connecting this person.

State options:

In case this person is contacted and they decide that now is not a good time to serve, they may want a follow up in one month. The system will make that item inactive, but remind you on the date you select to contact that person again.

You can indicate the State of any Connection item.  

  • Active
  • Inactive (not interested)
  • Follow-up Date (contact on a future date)
  • Connected (plugged in)

 

Change the item to In Process or Closed once you have contacted the person.

Click Save when finished.

3. Transfer a Connection Request.

Transfer a Connection Item when:

  • A person filled out one card, but meant to fill out a different one.  
  • They indicated that they had accepted Christ for the first time, but they actually meant to say they had re-committed to Christ.

Click Transfer.

You can transfer this person to a New Opportunity: LifeKids, Host Team, Switch etc.

You can transfer to another person to work this connection item:  

  • If you are a Host Team pastor and they are actually interested in LifeKids, etc.
  • Select the New Opportunity they are interested in (see above).
  • Click the Select Connector in the Connector area.
  • Select a different staff person or volunteer to communicate with them.

Click Transfer

To Transfer to another campus, Click Edit

 

Change the Campus in the lower right side of the screen.

Click the Connector dropdown to select someone from that campus.

Click Save to complete.
