Initial Splashtop Streamer Setup

Splashtop Streamer allows IT Support to remotely access your computer in order to troubleshoot technical issues. This article will walk you through the steps to allow Splashtop Streamer access to your computer.

To get started, we will open up your Spotlight tool by pressing Command + Spacebar and searching for Splashtop Streamer. 

Then follow the steps below for whichever MacOS you have. This can be found by going up to the Apple logo in the top left, and clicking About this Mac.

When the application launches, you will be prompted to Allow permissions by clicking "OK".

Go through and Allow all settings for Accessibility, Screen Recording, Full Disk Access, and Microphone.

MacOS Monterey and earlier

You will click the red exclamation mark in the top right of the window. Press OK on the pop-up window.

In the Security & Privacy

Now, you will press Allow on the Accessibility option. This will open your Settings window. You will click the Lock icon on the bottom left of the window to proceed.

Click the checkbox for Splashtop Streamer in the following setting options:

  • Accessibility
  • Screen Recording
  • Full Disk Access

Lastly, you will Close the Lock icon and the Splashtop Streamer window.

We will NEVER access your computer without prior communication to you. This is specifically in place to remotely help you with issues that written communication cannot solve alone.
