How to - Save Google Chrome Bookmarks

In this article we will go over how to make sure our Google Chrome Bookmarks are syncing with our account in order to transfer them to another computer.

1. Open Google Chrome and make sure you’re signed in with an account. It should show a little avatar like this:

2. If it shows something like "pause", you can click on it log in again with your account.

3. Click on the three dots by the avatar, and click on Settings and then click on Sync and Google Services.

4. From the Sync menu click on Manage what you sync. This should be the first option:

5. Once in there, make sure that everything is selected like the following image and you should be good.

And that's it! 


If on the other hand you would like to export the bookmarks, do the following:

Export Bookmarks to your computer

To export the bookmarks, do the following:

  1. On your computer, open Google Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click the three dots in the top right of the screen.
  3. Select Bookmarks, then Bookmark Manager.
  4. At the top right part of the screen, click on the three dots, then Export Bookmarks.

Chrome exports your bookmarks as an HTML file. Use this file to import your bookmarks into another browser.
