In this article we will go over how to setup the Learning Center for a Teams conference call.
The Console
Turn on the console by pressing the switch in the back left side of it. This article will show how to operate the console.
Extron
Extron is the little screen to the right of the Yamaha console. Extron will control the projectors, the projector screens, the TVs, the lights, and the curtains in the room.
- Tap on the screen to wake it up.
- Tap on ALL ON to turn ON TVs, projectors and bring down the projectors' screens.
- Finally Tap on the TEAMS button in the 'Video Source' section to activate the Teams preset. This is going to put the main Teams window on the projectors and the secondary window on the side screens.
You can also tap on Advanced Menu and choose a different setup for what to put on the screens.
For example, you can choose Teams 1 in all of the screens and projectors.
Important practices for before leaving the room
- Make a test call to a team member to make sure everything is working correctly.
- Turn on the microphones and test their volume. Make sure they all have a similar level.
- Play some music from Spotify on the Mac Mini and make sure you can hear it in the room and keep it at an appropriate level.
- Check the battery levels on the LCD screen of the microphones.
- Make sure to connect with the person in charge of the event before it starts to know that all their needs are met from an IT perspective.
- Make sure the desk space besides the console is clean.
