Enter a New Family Registration Card

This article outlines how to enter new families using LifeKids New Family Registration Cards.

Note: When a new family checks their kids in at Guest Services, the check-in system will add them to RMS. The campus staff or volunteers will only need to search for the family and complete the household information.

1. Search for the family in RMS.

We've written a helpful article that outlines How to search for a person or household.

When using Name, it's best to only enter the first few letters of the first and last name. The exception is common names like Jones, Smith, Thomas - enter the entire name.

Click on the correct name to open. There may be multiple names listed. 

2. Click on the name of a member of the family.

This will return all the family members, but not have any contact information (address, phone, email).

Click the Edit Pencil in the upper right side of the screen to edit the individual.

3. Enter or edit any available information for that individual (Marital Status, Contact Info, Email).

Note: Click Advanced Settings to enter additional email addresses.

  1. Click the + on the right side of the screen.
  2. Add additional email addresses in the Search Keys area (this will allow you to search by any email address).
  3. Under Search Type select Email.
  4. Under Search Value enter the alternate email address.

Click Save.

Click Save again at the bottom of the screen.

4. Key Tag Numbers are added automatically for the head of household at check-in.

Key tags will be entered at Check-In. If you need to enter or edit a key tag number, see below.

  1. Search for the family (as listed above) and select the head of household.
  2. Click the Edit Pencil in the upper right side of the screen.
  3. Scroll down and click on the Alternate Identifiers bar.

Click + on the right side of the screen.

  1. Type or scan the key tag number in the Alternate Id box.
  2. Click Save.

Click Save again at the bottom of the page.

5. Enter the Grade for school age kids.

Select a child in the household by clicking on their profile.

Click the Edit Pencil in the upper right side of the screen.

Edit any information that is available for the child. Enter Gender, Birthday, Grade, etc. If this child has his own email address, or phone number, please enter it in the Contact Info area.

 

Enter their Grade and birthday.

Click Save at the bottom of the page.

Enter all information for each child in the household. Save after each entry.

6. Enter the household address.

Click the Edit Pencil on the right side of the Last Name bar under the head of household.

Enter the Campus the family attends.

Click + on the right side in the Addresses area.

  1. Select the country.
  2. Enter the household address from the Family Registration Card.  
  3. Address Line 2 is only for Apartment, Lot, Suite numbers.
  4. Click Save.

Note: If the Postal Code is missing, visit https://tools.usps.com/go/ZipLookupAction!input.action and look up the postal code.
