• Go to aka.ms/mfasetup and sign in
• Click "+ Add sign-in method" → Select "Authenticator app" → Click "Add"

For Microsoft Authenticator: Follow the default setup

For alternative apps: Click "I want to use a different authenticator app"

Popular alternatives: Google Authenticator, Authy, Bitwarden Authenticator, 1Password, 2FAS

Option A - QR Code (Recommended):

1. Open your authenticator app and tap "+" or "Add Account"
2. Select "Scan QR code" and scan the code on your Microsoft setup page

Option B - Manual Entry:

1. Click "Can't scan image?" on the Microsoft page
2. In your app, select "Enter setup key manually"
3. Enter your email as account name and paste the setup key from Microsoft

4. Verify Setup

1. Enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app into the Microsoft verification field
2. Click "Next" to complete setup
3. You may need to verify once more with a new code

Your MFA is now active and will appear in your Security Info page!
