How to add an Internal Comment on a Conversation

Adding an internal comment on a Conversation within Front allows you to talk to your fellow team members about the Conversation without sending any kind of message to the person who started the Conversation.

To leave an internal comment on a conversation; first you will need to select the Conversation you are wanting to leave a comment on. (The currently selected conversation will be highlighted in blue on the left of your window.)

Once you have the Conversation selected, you will want to click the text box at the very bottom of your screen, directly under the conversation.

Once you click that, you can write your comment. Click the "Enter" button on your keyboard to post your comment. It will look like the image below.

To attach a file or image to your internal comment, you can click the Paper Clip icon on the comment bar. Clicking this will automatically open your computer's files.

You may also tag a fellow team member in your internal comment to loop them in on your conversation. You can do this by either typing "@" with the team member's Front handle right after, or by clicking the "@" symbol on the comment bar.

Suggestions for people to tag will appear as you type, once you click the name or finish typing a team member's handle and press the "Space" button on your keyboard, the person's handle will be highlighted in blue.

There is also an Emoji and Gif button that you may use as well for your internal comments; if you like.

Internal comments are exactly that, internal! Only Front users that have access to that conversation are able to see these comments. Leaving an internal comment will not send a response to the Conversation.
