1Password - Switch to Unlock with SSO

If you already use 1Password and your team switches to Unlock with SSO, you’ll receive an email notification. To get started, click the link in the setup email you receive from 1Password, then follow these steps.

If you’re switching to Unlock with SSO, you’ll need to sign in to 1Password with your account password and Secret Key first. If you don’t have your sign in details, ask IT to recover your account. You’ll be prompted to sign-in with SSO during the recovery process.

Instructions for Mac
  1. Open and unlock 1Password with your account password.
  2. You’ll see a pop-up letting you know there’s a new way to sign in. Click Start New Sign-In.
  3. Click Sign in with Life.Church.
  4. Sign in with your Life.Church email address and password.

Turn on notifications when prompted to make sure you can quickly approve new apps and browsers in the future.

Instructions for Windows
  1. Open and unlock 1Password with your account password.
  2. You’ll see a pop-up letting you know there’s a new way to sign in. Click Start New Sign-In.
  3. Click Sign in with Life.Church.
  4. Sign in with your Life.Church email address and password.

Turn on notifications when prompted to make sure you can quickly approve new apps and browsers in the future.

Instructions for 1Password.com
  1. Sign in to your account on lifechurch.1Password.com.
  2. You’ll see a pop-up letting you know there’s a new way to sign in. Click Get Started.
  3. Click Sign in with Life.Church.
  4. Sign in with your Life.Church email address and password.
  5. You’ll be taken back to 1Password where you’ll see a Sign in with Life.Church button instead of a password field.
