Setting Up and Using a Passkey

Updated on

The following article will walk you through the steps of setting up a "passkey" on your mobile device.

What is a passkey? A passkey uses your device to securely sign you into your Life.Church account without needing to input your password.

How it Works: Passkeys are stored on a device and can be unlocked with a PIN, fingerprint, or facial recognition

Please be aware your phone must be updated to the latest operating system - Android 14.0 or iOS 18.0 - for full functionality. If your device doesn't support the latest OS, you can continue using your password as usual.

This functionality will be available on Monday December 9, 2024.

Setting Up a Passkey

Open Microsoft Authenticator app on your phone. Select your existing Life.Church account

Click 'create a passkey'

Click 'Sign in'

Toggle on AutoFill Passwords and Passkeys

Please Note: You will only see the screen below if you have not allowed AutoFill Passwords previously.

Your passkey is now created.

When complete you will see your Life.Church account now has Passkey as an option
