When you receive a potentially malicious email, you can report it as phishing or junk via the Report button in Outlook. The instructions below will walk you through the process on Outlook for Windows and Mac.
Windows
Please note: The phishing button will only appear in new Outlook due to integrated add-ins issue with old Outlook. To report via the phishing button you will need to using the new Outlook app for Windows.
If you simply click the Report button the message will be marked as phishing. If it needs to be marked as junk, click the down arrow next to Report for more options.
You will receive a pop-up message asking you to confirm you want to mark the email as phishing or junk.
Mac
Click the Report button while the email is selected in your inbox.
You will receive a popup message asking you to confirm you want to mark the email as phishing or junk.
