Building a Formstack Form

Updated on

In this article you will find a compiled list of commonly used features you can create within your Formstack form. This will walk you through basic form building to more advanced functions like building conditional logic and incorporating with other apps. For additional resources see Formstacks knowledge base at https://help.formstack.com/s/

Creating Forms

Pro Tip: When you create your form you will want to specify which Folder that form should live in so you can keep track of it. Initially, your parent folder is going to be the default option. In this example, "Campus," but after the form is created you will have the ability to move it to a subfolder within the parent folder.

Select your form

Click "Move To" and then select your campus

Form Logic

Conditional logic allows you to hide fields that may not be applicable to a person filling out the form, depending on what they select in a prior field.

Sectional logic allows you to apply a desired logic to multiple fields based off a prior answer. Instead of setting up individual logic, you can group logic to fields, saving you time.

Emails and Actions

Submission logic allows you to determin where a submission will be sent based of criteria you provide.

Submit Actions will allow you to setup a custom message for the submitter as well as create webhooks for more advanced integrations.
