New Life-Cycle Computer!

Updated on

You received your new life cycle computer!

Oh, happy day!

Before you ride off into the sunset, there are a few steps to walk through...

Things You'll Need to Sign Into

There's a few things that will not be signed in when you receive your new computer. IT does not have access to your Life.Church password so you'll need to sign into the items below:

  • Dropbox.
  • Outlook - See steps here.
  • Teams.
  • LC-Files: See the steps here (Not all Staff have access).

Things You'll Need to Install

You may find that additional apps you have a subscription to are not installed on your new computer. Creative Cloud is an example. Like your other apps, IT doesn't have your password in order to log into these applications so they'll need to be installed on your new machine.

  • Adobe Acrobat/Creative Cloud: See the steps here.
  • Any third-party app you're using in your role
  • Fonts - if you're using the Gotham font you will need to connect with Creative Media to install it on your new computer
  • (Mac) If you don't have access to the printer you need, follow the instructions here.

Additional Things

Bookmarks - in order for browser bookmarks to be available on your new computer you will need to do one of two things:

  1. If you're signed into your browser on your old computer, your bookmarks should reappear when you login to the same browser on your new computer.
  2. You can export bookmarks from the browser on your old computer and save them to Dropbox. You can then import this file into the browser on your new computer.
