How to Update a Household When They Move

This article will show you how to update an address in the case a family moves.

It's best practice to make sure the previous address is saved to the family's profile.

Editing a Family's Address

Enter the first few letters of the first and last name in the search bar in the upper-right side of the screen.

Click the Edit Pencil on the Household bar.

If the entire family is moving, click the "Family Moved" button on the right side of the screen.

This will automatically move their current address to their previous.

Enter the new address in the Primary field.

1.  Select Country.

2.  Enter the new address.

3.  Click "Save" in the bottom left corner.

Moving an individual out of a Family and updating the address.

This would be used if a child has become an adult and moved into their own place, or in the case of a divorce.

Click the Edit Pencil on the family bar.

Click the "Move to new family" icon.

Click "Save".

Search for the individual you just moved.

Click the Edit Pencil on the Household bar.

Click the "Family Moved" button (this will retain the previous address and allow a new primary address).

 

Enter the new address in the Primary field.

1.  Select Country.

2.  Enter the new address  .

3.  Click "Save".

Note: When removing an individual, it copies the address from the previous household. You will need to update the address for the new household. See steps above.
