1. Click on Start Menu
2. Type "Control Panel" and click to open
3. Click on 'View devices and printers'
4. Right click on printer- select 'Printer Properties'
5. Click 'Preferences'
6. Click the dropdown arrow under 'Color/Black and White:'
7. Select 'Black and White'
8. Click 'Apply'
9. To print in color:
If you need to print something in color you will go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers > Printing Preferences (not Properties) > click on the Paper Quality tab
10. Select 'Color' and 'Apply'
Note: This will only print the current document in color. it will default back to black and white for the next print job.
