What are Workflows and How Do I Get Access to Them?

Workflows are a tool in the Planning Center - People Application. They are used as a shared "checklist" for any task you want to make sure is completed regarding your volunteers in Planning Center - Services.

How Do I Get Access to My Follow-Up Workflow?

Access to both the Planning Center - People Application and to specific Workflows will be given by the Planning Center Administrators. You will receive an email that allows you to log in. The email will be sent to the ministry leads only. Further instructions will be given for how to give others access to the People application and Workflows.

Notice on the invite email - You can download Planning Center - People to your mobile device. You will have very similar access to workflows on your phone as you do on your desktop. The permissions article has more details.

What if I don't get my invite email?

If you are a ministry leader at your campus and were told you would be receiving access to the the Volunteer Retention tool, but didn't receive your email allowing you to log in, check your spam and junk mail. If it's not there, send a ticket to the IT Help Desk requesting access to Planning Center - People in the subject line.

Okay, now I am logged into Planning Center, what next?

  1. When you log in to Planning Center, you can toggle between the Services and People applications by clicking in the upper-left corner.
  2. When you are in the People application, you can go to Workflows by clicking on Workflows. You will have access to your ministry's workflow.

What is a Follow-Up Workflow

A Follow-Up Workflow is a pre-made volunteer retention tool that has been created with the same set of tasks across every campus and every ministry.
