Why is my volunteer not in Planning Center?

What do you do when you've completed all of the steps to add a volunteer, waited for the sync to finish and the volunteer's account still is not in planning center?

Troubleshooting Steps

Here are some things to look at on the volunteer's Fellowship One account:

  • The volunteer's background check must be approved; completed and pending will not sync.
  • Student Forms must also be approved;  completed and pending will not sync.
  •     Student Volunteer App must be entered in the Student Leader area
  • The volunteer must have unique email address in the Personal Email address field.  Planning Center uses email addresses to create the account. If their email address is in the Home field, it will not sync.

If all of the steps are completed and your volunteer still hasn't been created in Planning Center, let us know!  Open a ticket at http://go2.lc/ticket

Search for the student.

Click the Extended Attributes tab

Verify that they have the necessary requirements and the status is Approved.  

    Adults need an approved Background Check

    Students need 5 things.

     1.  Parental Consent Form - In the Standard Requirement area

     2.  Interview - In the Standard Requirement Area

     3.  Reference Check 1 - in the Reference check area

     4.  Student Volunteer App - in the Student Leader area

Be sure to click Save at the bottom

     5.   They must have the grade they are in on their personal profile.

To verify the grades, click on the Edit Pencil to the right of the individual's name.

On the page that opens, enter either the Grade or Graduation Year.  The system will calculate the correct year or grade.

Be sure to scroll to the bottom to click Save.

Verify that the PCO Sync is in Groups List under the Groups tab.

If all of this is correct and your volunteer is still not showing up in PCO, put a ticket in to IT with their name and date of birth.
