How to Use Scheduled Absences

Updated on

We’ve just recently added a new feature called "Scheduled Absences" within the Volunteer scheduling tool! This new tab empowers volunteer scheduling users to view all volunteer absences/block-out dates in one place.

Key Features and Functionality:

  1. Centralized View: The Scheduled Absences tab provides a centralized view of all volunteers and their upcoming block-out dates. Users can easily access the tab within the Volunteer scheduling tool, right next to the Roster tab.
  2. Volunteer Name + Submitter Name: Within this page you are able to see which volunteer is scheduled for absence, and who submitted the block-out dates (as it could be someone a pastor or family member).
  3. Volunteer Role: You are able to see which Role the Volunteer is absent for.
  4. Absence Dates: Of course the main focus of the tool - it displays a clear overview of the dates each volunteer as scheduled.
  5. Notes: Volunteers have the option to leave notes alongside their scheduled absences. These notes can include specific reasons for their absence or any additional instructions for the team.

Again, this tool can be found within your team’s Volunteer Scheduling Tool next to the Roster tab.
